Rules are Simple. You have been given a budget of $100M. You have to pick your best XI u can muster before the LOCKDOWN time commences each week at 12:15pm Each Saturday. The LOCKDOWN period is the period in which we are playing our matches, and NO TRANSFERS are allowed during that time, which ends at 7:00PM.
TRANSFERS: These are where you can trade players from your team to buy other players you want. You have 20 TRANSFERS per season so use them wisely! And with a max of 16 rounds of cricket, you have a bit over 2 a week. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to check the Woden team selections and make sure you have all XI spots covered. This takes 5-10 mins a week to adjust your team.
CAPTAINS: The skipper you choose will score you DOUBLE POINTS, so again, choose him wisely. This can be changed any week, it is not locked in for the whole season.
PLAYERS VALUES: Have been calculated by the following factors: Skill, Experience, Current 3 year form and last season's form, Availabilty, Lack of info of the player, Room to gain in value/room to lose value and prone to injury. Your players will gain or lose value in accordance to how their form is. This is where you can gain value from some players to trade and buy players who are worth more and who are scoring more.
POINTS: Your players points will be reflected on their individual performance in their match. There are a lot of different points to be scored to check out the points structure tab in the menu.
HINTS: Dont be discouraged if your team doesnt do well in your first couple of rounds. It takes a lot to shoot to the lead and stay there, and theres plenty of time to settle on a solid squad.
Try not to fall in the trap of "Reactive selections". If a player gets runs and wickets 1 week, he may not the next, just like the pro's. So back your squad and try save your transfers for injuries and players who are absent.
You cant have all the good players. Key to Fantasy sports is choosing a well balanced side and knowing where to spend your cash on your premium players. So suck it up, you have to buy some cheapies for your squad to stay under budget.
TO SAVE YOU TIME on your first time selecting your First squad. Start by selecting the cheaper players Under 10M you want first. Then it makes choosing your premiums easier as you have more budget. Do it the other way, and you'll find yourself putting cheapies in the end that you may not really want.
Godd luck, and Thank you all who have joined this year. Hopefully it is something that gains more users next season and starts a new culture in the club. LET THE BANTER BEGIN!
